IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #12-162
Resolution Approving Plats of Survey to
Parcel 2012-154, 2012-155, and 2012-156
WHEREAS, Plats of Survey setting out Parcels 2012-154, 2012-155, and 2012-156, located within the two-mile jurisdiction of the Monticello City limits, have been presented for approval, and
WHEREAS, The City was recently presented with these plats of survey as the surveyor was not aware that they would need City approval before being accepted by Jones County, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator made efforts to schedule a Planning and Zoning meeting, and a meeting had been scheduled for tonight at 5:15 at which three members planned to attend, however, one P & Z member discovered a scheduling conflict and one came up ill, leaving only one P & Z member able to attend the meeting, and
WHEREAS, with the end of the year fast approaching, the transfer of the properties being ready to go and the owners fearing negative tax consequences should the property not be transferred this year, the Council, having heard and considered the concerns of the surveyor, the owners, a buyer, and other interested persons, finds that the plats of survey should be approved, further recognizing that plats of survey such as these are regularly recommended for approval by the Planning and Zoning Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the Plats of Survey to parcels 2012-154, 2012-155, and 2012-156.
