The City of Monticello, Iowa
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #12-166
Resolution Approving sale of City owned Road Grader.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello owns a 1977 Road Grader that sees little use, and
WHEREAS, The repair and maintenance costs associated with the Grader outweigh the benefits derived by the City at this time, and
WHEREAS, The City has received an offer to buy the Grader that is deemed to be fair, reasonable, and appropriate, and also includes the caveat or understanding that the City can continue to use the Grader if and when necessary so long as the grader is not in use by the owner, and
WHEREAS, The Council further finds that the Grader is presently in need of brake and hydraulic repairs, and that the grader would be sold as is, with the costs of the necessary repairs falling to the buyer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the sale of the 1977 Grader to Jerry McElmeel for the sum of $6,000., and directs the City Clerk to see to the transfer of title / registration upon the receipt of the purchase price.
