IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #12-97
Resolution to approve of purchase of Combination Dump/Spreader Body for City Plow Truck from Henderson Truck Equipment and International Chassis
WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved the purchase of a new combination dump spreader body for a City plow truck with new chassis, and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has acquired a bid on the dump / spreader body from Henderson Truck Equip., Manchester, IA, and the state bid on the chassis from Hawkeye Truck and Trailer, Dubuque, and
WHEREAS, the P.W. Director recommends that the City proceed with the purchase of the dump / spreader body from Henderson Truck Equipment and the chassis from Hawkeye Truck and Trailer, and
WHEREAS, the City previously borrowed $165,000 towards this purchase, and the total cost, based upon the bids received to date, to purchase the state bid International chassis and the equipment from Henderson Truck Equip, including the stainless steel box and the installation of the City owned spreader, totals $121,895, and
WHEREAS, the council finds the proposed equipment and pricing to be appropriate and, therefore, finds that the equipment as indicated and as recommended by the P.W. Director should be ordered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the purchase of the Henderson Truck Equipment Combination Dump/Spreader Body, same to be stainless steel, and the Hawkeye Truck and Trailer International chassis, with the Henderson box and City spreader to be installed on the Chassis by Henderson as noted in their bid.
