IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-40
Approving Employment Agreement between City of Monticello and City Administrator Doug Herman
Effective July 1, 2013
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated City within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, The Ordinances of the City of Monticello permit the City Council to enter into Employment Agreements as they deem appropriate, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator has had various discussions with City Council Members and the Mayor and has agreed to various amendments to the Employment Agreement between the City Administrator and the City of Monticello and has modified the Employment Agreement to effect those changes with a copy of said amended agreement and a summary of the amendments being provided to the City Councilpersons and Mayor on or about the 5th of April, 2013, and, and
WHEREAS, The Monticello City Council has reviewed the Employment Agreement as amended, and
WHEREAS, The City Attorney, Anne Loomis, has reviewed the proposed contract, previously reviewed by her in 2009, and the proposed amendments thereto, and has offered no objections or concerns with the proposed amendments, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the terms and provisions of the proposed employment agreement are fair and reasonable, and should therefore, be approved.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the Employment Agreement for City Administrator Doug Herman, said wages to take effect and be applicable to the first payroll issued during the month of July, 2013
