Resolution to approve purchase of 2014 Ford Interceptor
from Freese Motors in Monticello
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council previously authorized the sale of a used 2010 Ford Crown Victoria police car to the City of Worthington with the understanding that the Police Dpt. intended to replace that vehicle with a 2014 Ford Interceptor, and
WHEREAS, The Police Chief has presented various options to the City Council for consideration, with quotes from two providers, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds in appropriate and in the best interests of the City to authorize the purchase of a 2014 Ford Interceptor from Freese Motors in Monticello for the sum of $25,510, with the understanding that additional sums will be spent to stripe/decal the vehicle, to fit the vehicle with necessary equipment, and to see to the installation of a propane conversion kit in the vehicle.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 15th day December 2014, that the Police Chief is hereby authorized to purchase a 2014 Ford Interceptor from Freese Motors in Monticello for the sum of $25,510.
