IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-65
Resolution to approve the hiring of Ament Design to assist the City with the planning and public input process for $3,000,holding up to three public input meetings for the Community Building improvements and renovations.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello has bonded sums to see to the renovation and repair of the Monticello Community Building and has identified the Community Building project as a priority, and
WHEREAS, Some repairs / renovations have occurred, to wit: roof repairs, front door replacement, and repairs to the rear stairway with related lighting and railing updates being presently in the works, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that, after a review of the building survey prepared by Ament Design, that the Council should move forward with the preparation of design plans for the Community Building auditorium and to hold public input meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby authorize and direct the City Administrator to enter into an agreement with Ament Design to perform those services necessary for preparation of design plans for Community Building auditorium and to hold public input meetings prior to proceeding with renovations, not to exceed $3,000.
