IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #15-65
Resolution Accepting bids for 2015 Monticello Downtown Parking Lot Project and Awarding Bid to Eastern Iowa Excavating and Concrete.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello publicly advertised for bids related to the 2015 Downtown Parking Lot Project, and
WHEREAS, Bids were received from five (5) contractors, to wit:
1. Eastern Iowa Excavating and Concrete $129,226.30
2. Accent Construction $133,085.00
3. Midwest Concrete, Inc. $133,543.00
4. Central States Concrete $143,960.00
5. Ricklefs Excavating Ltd. $159,761.00

WHEREAS, The Council finds that Eastern Iowa Excavating and Concrete is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, and upon the recommendation of the City Engineer finds that the bids should be accepted and the project awarded to Eastern Iowa Excavating and Concrete.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby accept the bids and awards the 2015 Monticello Downtown Parking Lot Project to Eastern Iowa Excavating and Concrete, in the amount of $129,226.30, subject to the execution of a written agreement by and between the City of Monticello and Eastern Iowa Excavating and Concrete, with the Mayor, by the approval of this Resolution, being authorized to sign same on behalf of the Monticello City Council.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name and caused the Great Seal of the City of Monticello, Iowa to be affixed hereto. Done this 3rd day of August, 2015.
