RESOLUTION #15-67
Resolution to approve Standard Professional Services Agreement between
Snyder & Associates and City of Monticello in regard to the reconstruction
of a portion of E. South Street, from S. Main on the east and S. Cedar on the
west, and the rehabilitation of a portion of S. Main Street, from E. South
Street on the south and E. Oak on the north
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council has determined it appropriate to proceed with the reconstruction of E. South Street, between S. Cedar Street and S. Main Street and to pursue the rehabilitation of a portion of S. Main Street, between E. Oak Street and E. South Street, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the City Engineer, Snyder & Associates, should be hired to design and oversee the project, and to that end requested and received a proposed Standard Services Agreement from Snyder & Associates for review, and
WHEREAS, the proposed agreement provides that Snyder & Associates would design the project, handle the bidding and contractual phases of the project with for the fee of $79,540, with projected construction costs currently estimated at $820,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 3rd day of August, 2015, that the proposed “Standard Professional Services Agreement”, between the City of Monticello and Snyder & Associates related to the E. South Street reconstruction and S. Main Street rehabilitation project is hereby approved.
