IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #19-31
Approving Purchase of 2015 “New Holland” backhoe from Kromminga Motors.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello purchased our existing backhoe new in October 2008, and
WHEREAS, The condition of the backhoe is not good, it has been a regular visitor to the repair shop and is in need of many repairs now or in the near future, and
WHEREAS, The proposed backhoe will have various features not present on the existing backhoe, to wit: a quick release feature in the front and a dipper / dipstick for attachments such a compactor or jack hammer that will work better for many of our uses, but in addition will make this machine much more universal and “useable” by City staff, and
WHEREAS, due to special New Holland promotions presently in place, the backhoe can be purchased for $55,000 lease at 7.15% interest over five (5) years, with the City owning the unit outright after the final lease payment, or it can be purchased for $55,000 outright, and
WHEREAS, the warranty for 2015 New Holland Backhoe is for 4 years, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the purchase of a new 2015 New Holland Tractor – Loader Backhoe Model B95C TC T4, with Kromminga Motors extending the warranty for 5 years.
