IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #2020-55
Rescinding Resolution #2020-46 approving Maple Street Sidewalk Repair/Replacement Project.
WHEREAS, The Council approved the replacement of portions of the Maple Street sidewalk and fencing, between the Golf Course Driveway and the old Fair Office on April 6, 2020 as set forth within Resolution #2020-46, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator explained that after a more thorough inspection of the sidewalk by the Monticello Police Dpt., it was determined that many more panels/portions of the sidewalk were out of compliance than was originally thought and that the Council may want to consider additional repairs, and
WHEREAS, After discussion the Council determined it appropriate and in the best interests of the City to rescind Resolution #2020-46 and to consider a new Resolution to approve the total replacement of the sidewalk.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby Rescind Resolution #2020-46 in its’ entirety.
