RESOLUTION #2026-103
Approving BR5 Development LLC Application
for Tax Abatement on Multiresidential Real Estate
located at 605 East 1st Street, Monticello, Iowa.
WHEREAS, Monticello has adopted an Urban Revitalization Tax Abatement Area for Lot 2 of BR3 Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, The owner of the property located at 605 East 1st Street has completed construction of a 12-unit Multiresidential building, and have requested the standard 10-year tax abatement on said improvements as allowed in that Multiresidential Urban Revitalization Area, and
WHEREAS, The City Council has reviewed said Application, and finds that the information submitted therein is consistent with that required by the Monticello Code of Ordinances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the Application for Tax Abatement filed by BR5 Development LLC, owner of property located at 605 East 1st Street, Monticello, Iowa, consistent with Ordinance Number 769, 2023 Monticello Multiresidential Urban Revitalization Area, and further directs the Monticello City Clerk to file the Application and this Resolution with the Jones County Assessor as prescribed by law.
