RESOLUTION #2026-113
Approving Driver Policy Iowa DOT/CDL Regulated
WHEREAS, The City’s insurance provider is requiring that the City adopt a Driver Policy, and
WHEREAS, The City Attorney and the insurance company have reviewed the proposed Driver Policy. The Policy has been revised to cross-reference repetitive policies also found in the Employee Handbook, and clarified in areas discussed with the Council at the July 20 work session, and
WHEREAS, The Council has reviewed the proposed Policy and it is the position of the City Administrator that the Policy should be adopted, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the Driver Policy is appropriate, reasonable, and in the best interests of the Community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the proposed Driver Policy and directs that the City Administrator to communicate the policy to all employees, current and future, and ensure compliance with same.
