RESOLUTION #2026-121
Approving contracting with Kluesner Construction Inc.,
to Complete Asphalt paving at Water West Well
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello sought a proposal from Kluesner Construction Inc., to asphalt pave the West Well driveway at Celgo Avenue in the community, and
WHEREAS, The Water/Wastewater Superintendent requested a quote to asphalt pave the driveway and area around the West Well, that is need of some maintenance work, and
Area 1: From street to the south side of the building $12,625.00
Area 2: West side of the building around the north side
back to the main driveway $ 5,368.00
WHEREAS, The Council finds the hiring of Kluesner to perform the asphalt paving project proposed to be appropriate, with the proposed estimated cost being $17,993.00 and directs the Water/Wastewater Superintendent to accept the proposal of Kluesner Construction Inc and to schedule this project for completion, and,
WHEREAS, The proposal notes that the final cost of all work and materials will be based on actual quantities, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve contracting with Kluesner to complete asphalt paving of Areas #1 & #2 and authorizes the Water/Wastewater Superintendent to accept the proposals of Kluesner Construction Inc on behalf of the City.
