RESOLUTION # 09-124
Authorizing City Administrator to pursue purchase of Real Estate, located at the location, and consistent with the terms and provisions discussed and directed during closed session, with any counter-offers and/or final purchase to be subject to formal approval by the City council upon final execution of the purchase agreement.
WHEREAS, The City Council has met in closed session on this date to consider the purchase of real estate, the open discussion of same being considered by the Council to be detrimental to the City’s bargaining position with regard to the potential purchase of said property, and
WHEREAS, The City Council, during said closed session, reached a consensus on how best to proceed with the potential purchase of said property, and has directed the City Administrator to pursue the potential purchase of said property consistent with the directives of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby direct the City Administrator to pursue the potential purchase of said property consistent with the directives of the City Council, with any counter-offers and/or final purchase to be subject to formal approval by the City council upon final execution of the purchase agreement.
