RESOLUTION #11-33
To approve and Ratify Independent Contractor Agreement between City of Monticello and Barnhart Construction Co.
.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council previously approved a bid of Barnhart Construction Co. to re-roof the Monticello Community Building and directed the preparation of an agreement between the City and Barnhart, and
WHEREAS, An Independent Contractor Agreement was prepared and has been signed by the City, through then Mayor Don “Ho” Miyagawa, and Barnhart Construction Co., and
WHEREAS, after accepting the bid, but before execution of the Agreement, some of the material prices increased, resulting in an updated bid/contract amount, increasing the total contract amount, base and alternate both included, in the amount of $472.99.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 7th day of March 2011, that the Independent Contractor Agreement previously executed by the City and Barnhart Construction Company, is hereby ratified and approved in its’ entirety, with the base contract being in the amount of $39,260.03 and the bid alternate being in the amount of $298.63.
