IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #15-14
Scheduling Public Hearing on the proposed final plans and specifications,
notice of hearing, notice to bidders, form of contract, and estimate of cost
related to the Community Building Renovation Project
for the 16th day of March, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the proposed plans and specifications, the form of contract, and the engineer’s cost estimate related to the Community Building Renovation project, and
WHEREAS, before the consideration and award of a bid on this project, the City must schedule and hold a public hearing on the final plans and specifications, form of contract, notice to bidders, and engineer’s cost estimate, and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the Public Hearing should be held on the 16th day of March, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., the regularly scheduled City Council meeting, so that the project may continue on schedule, with bids to be received by 2:00 p.m. on the 7th day of April, 2015 to be opened, accepted and awarded shortly thereafter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Monticello Council meeting in regular session this 2nd day of March, 2015 does hereby preliminarily approve the plans and specifications, form of contract, and engineer’s cost estimate related to the Monticello Community Building renovation project and schedules a Public Hearing on the final plans and specifications, form of contract, notice to bidders, and engineer’s cost estimate for March 16th, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Mary Lovell LeVan Renaissance Center, 220 E. 1st Street, Monticello, Iowa, after which the Council will consider approval of the final plans and specifications, form of contract, notice to bidders, and engineer’s cost estimate, and directs the City Administrator to see to the necessary publication of notices in regard hereto.
