CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #2026-50
Approving Monticello Firefighters of Iowa Organization Inc., planning of the
Independence Day Fireworks festivities to be held on July 4, 2026 and
authorizes payment in the amount of $2,600.00 towards the fireworks
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated City within Jones County, Iowa, and
WHEREAS, The Council has been advised that the Monticello Firefighters of Iowa Organization Inc., will be heading up this year’s Independence Day fireworks festivities, and
WHEREAS, the Monticello City Council supports the Monticello Firefighters of Iowa Organization Inc., in the planning of the Independence Day fireworks festivities, and
WHEREAS, the Monticello City Council further supports the Independence Day fireworks event and authorizes payment in the amount of $2,600.00 towards the fireworks, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 6th day of April, 2026 that the City of Monticello does hereby authorize payment in the amount of $2,600.00 towards the fireworks and supports the Monticello Firefighters of Iowa Organization Inc., in the planning of the Independence Day fireworks festivities.
