RESOLUTION # 10-31
Approving IJOBS Grant Award Agreement and authorizing execution of same by the Mayor on the Council’s behalf.
WHEREAS, The Monticello City Council previously authorized the City Administrator to seek funding for the Public Safety Building through the IJOBS program, and
WHEREAS, The Application filed by the City Administrator was successful, and the City was awarded an IJOBS Grant in the amount of $300,000, and
WHEREAS, The IJOBS program requires the entry into and approval of a Grant Agreement by and between the City and the Iowa Jobs Board, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator has worked with Iowa Jobs Board representatives to complete the terms of the IJOBS Award Agreement, and same has been delivered to the City for approval, and
WHEREAS, The Mayor, or Mayor Pro Tem in the absence of the Mayor, should be authorized to sign the Grant Award Agreement and any other documents necessary to meet and/or effectuate the terms of the Grant Award Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the IJOBS Grant Award Agreement and does further authorize and direct the Mayor, or Mayor Pro Tem in the absence of the Mayor, to sign the Grant Award Agreement and any other documents necessary to meet and/or effectuate the terms of the Grant Award Agreement.
