IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #11-06
Resolution approving Wage Rates and User Fees for the Monticello Aquatic Center.
WHEREAS, The City Council has been presented with information and data to support an increase in wage rates for aquatic center employees and user fees for aquatic center patrons, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that increased wage rates are necessary to retain trained and reliable staff, and
WHEREAS, The Council further finds that an increase in user fees is justified to meet the additional expenses related to the wage rate increases, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the following Wage Rate increases are justified and appropriate, and should be implemented to take effect immediately and to continue in place until subsequent Resolution of the City Council modifying same, to wit:
Proposed Wage rates are as follows:
Current New Rate
Life Guards $6.00 $7.25
Assistants $5.15 $6.00
WSI $7.00 $8.00
(All classifications would receive a .20/hr. increase every year that they return.)
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the following User Fee increases are justified and appropriate, and should be implemented to take effect immediately and to continue in place until subsequent Resolution of the City Council modifying same, to wit:

Family Pass – Residential $110.00 $140.00
Family Pass – Non-Resid. $150.00 $190.00
Single Pass – Residential $ 55.00 $ 70.00
Single Pass – Non-Resid. $ 75.00 $ 90.00
Monthly Pass – Resid. $ 22.00 $ 30.00
Monthly Pass – Non. Res. $ 30.00 $ 40.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Monticello does hereby approve of the Wage Rate increases and User Fee increases related to the Monticello Aquatic Center previously set forth herein, same to take effect immediately and to continue until such time as this Council or future Council shall modify or amend the terms hereof.
