RESOLUTION #11-118
Resolution approving Public Works Building Bid Specifications
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council has planned to re-erect a steel frame building located on the prior Public Works building site at the current P.W. Building and grounds site on Hwy 38, North, and
WHEREAS, The City has borrowed approximately $50,000 for this purpose and in now in a position to take bids on the re-erection, and possible expansion of said building, and
WHEREAS, The Council has reviewed the proposed specifications and proposed independent contractor agreement, a copy of same being attached hereto, and finds that terms thereof are appropriate and should be approved.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 15th day of August, 2011, that the City Administrator is hereby authorized to publish a Notice to Bidders in the Monticello Express for one week related to the Public Works Building project and to accept bids related thereto, after which, the bids will be brought to the City Council for consideration and approval before proceeding with the project.
