IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #11-159
Approving Lease Extension Agreement between the
City of Monticello and the Monticello Golf Club.
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello and the Monticello Golf Club entered into a lease agreement on or about July 1, 1987 approved by Resolution # 87-14 of the Monticello Council, same set to expire on June 30, 2012, and
WHEREAS, The Monticello Golf Club has requested that the City Council extend the existing lease agreement for a term of twenty-five (25) years, under the same terms and conditions as the current lease, and
WHEREAS, The Council scheduled and published notice of a public hearing on the proposed extension of said lease agreement and has held said public hearing prior to the consideration of this Resolution, and
WHEREAS, The Council has reviewed the terms and conditions of the proposes “Lease Extension Agreement”, a copy of same being attached hereto, and by this reference incorporated within this Resolution as if set forth fully verbatim herein, and finds that the approval of same is appropriate and in the best interests of the City of Monticello.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the extension of the existing lease agreement between the City of Monticello and the Monticello Golf Club for a period of twenty-five (25) years, with all other terms and provisions of the existing lease agreement, dated July 1, 1987, remaining in effect and unchanged by the passage of this Lease Extension Agreement.
