THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #12-14
Approving payment of FY ’12 and FY ’13 installments to the Youth Development
Center project upon the satisfaction of conditions outlined within the resolution.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council has previously approved of a cash investment of $50,000 in the Jones County Youth Development Center, with the first installment being budgeted for FY ’12, the second in FY ’13, and the third to follow in FY ’14, and
WHEREAS, the first installment was to be made after groundbreaking, which is subject to a number of descriptions or definitions, and to clarify that point, the Council finds that once the steel building frame is ordered and proof of ordering and payment is received by the City that the first installment in the amount of $16,666.67 should be made, and
WHEREAS, the Council further finds that the second installment is slated to be paid in FY ’13 in the same amount, and
WHEREAS, the Council further finds that the second installment should also be approved by way of this Resolution, to occur when first feasible after the beginning of the new fiscal year, July 1, 2012, with the condition that the City playground be totally relocated to the satisfaction of the Park and Recreation Director before said second installment is made.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 6th day of February 2012, that the first installment under the City’s agreement with the Jones County Youth Development Center Committee in the amount of $16,666.67 is hereby approved to be paid upon the receipt of a paid invoice related to the ordering of the steel for the frame of the new building in an amount that exceeds the 1st City installment, and that the second installment is hereby approved to be paid after July 1, 2012 with the condition that said payment not be made until the relocation of the City Playground to the satisfaction of the City Park and Recreation Director.
