RESOLUTION #12-26
Approving amendment to FY ’12 General Aviation Vertical
Infrastructure Grant Application.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council previously approved the acceptance of a Vertical Infrastructure Grant received by the City from the IDOT Aviation Vertical Infrastructure Grant program, and
WHEREAS, After the receipt of bids it was determined that the grant, intended to fund 65% of the project would not quite cover 65% due to increased project costs, and
WHEREAS, The IDOT Aviation Division has agreed to increase the Grant by the sum of $8,101, bringing the new maximum investment in the project to $74,100, and
WHEREAS, The City Council has approved of the purchase of materials for the project from Commander Buildings and has accepted the bid from Monk Construction, Inc., and its’ subcontractors, after a competitive quotation process, and has modified the original plans by ordering the replacement of additional exterior doors and windows in addition to ordering the replacement of a furnace to ensure that no furnace exhausting was done through the roof of the facility.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 20th day of February 2012, that the Amendment to the FY ’12 General Aviation Vertical Infrastructure Grant, increasing the grant award by $8,101, to a maximum grant of $74,101, is hereby approved, and the City Administrator is hereby authorized to execute said amendment on behalf of the Monticello City Council.
