THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION # 12-32
Authorizing submission of DRA grant requesting $20,000 towards Emergency
Response Center Generator acquisition and installation.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The Council has been advised that the City of Monticello may only submit one DRA Application per application period under the City Tax ID#, and
WHEREAS, the Library, and City/Admin./Emergency Response Center both wish to submit applications, and
WHEREAS, after being fully advised in regard to the proposals, the Council approved the submission of a 2012 DRA Application in the amount of $15,000 related to the purchase and installation of a back-up generator to be installed at the City of Monticello Emergency Response Center by way of Resolution #12-22, and
WHEREAS, the Council has been further advised that the overall project cost estimate has increased to the sum of approximately $40,000 and, based upon the fact that the intent of staff and Council was to request a 50% cost share, it has been requested of the City Council that the authorized grant submittal be for the sum of $20,000, representing approximately 50% of the overall project costs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 5th day of March 2012, that the City of Monticello DRA Application shall set forth a funding request in the amount of $20,000 for purposes of purchasing and installing a back-up generator at the City of Monticello Emergency Response Center.
