The City of Monticello, Iowa
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #12-95
Resolution to approve payment to Heiar Fencing in the amount of $11,692.
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello has received a payment / donation from the City of Monticello Foundation to cover the cost of fencing at the Shannon School ballpark, same used by the school, Park and Recreation Department, and Monticello citizens, and
WHEREAS, Bud and Georgia Johnson saw to the installation of said fencing, and thereafter made a donation to the City Foundation with the understanding that the Foundation would distribute his donation to the City to see to the payment of the Heiar Fencing invoice, and
WHEREAS, the City has received the check as noted, in the amount of $11,692.00 and has also received the invoice in that amount, and
WHEREAS, the City is acting as a conduit for this donation and project with no out of pocket expense to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the payment to Heiar Fencing in the amount of $11,692 and directs staff to pay same as soon as is possible, recognizing that the payment may need to be delayed to July 1, 2013 to avoid spending funds in excess of budgeted funds during this fiscal year.
