IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-103
Approving Agreement between the City of Monticello and the Monticello Youth Baseball Softball Association (MYBSA)
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello has reviewed the proposed agreement between the City of Monticello and the Monticello Youth Baseball Softball Association (MYBSA), and
WHEREAS, After multiple meetings and discussions, the Park Board has recommended that the City Council approve of the proposed agreement between the City of Monticello and the Monticello Youth Baseball Softball Association, according to the terms and conditions set forth within the attached agreement, and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds that the proposed three (3) year agreement will provide a good trial period and before the conclusion of said trial period the City will have a good feel for whether or not the management and oversight by the Association of the youth softball and baseball programs as set forth within the agreement, continue to be in the best interests of Monticello youth and the City of Monticello, in general.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the proposed agreement between the City of Monticello and the Monticello Youth Baseball Softball Association, according to the terms and conditions set forth within the agreement, attached hereto, and authorizes the Mayor to execute the same on behalf of the City Council, with the understanding that Bud Johnson will execute same on behalf of the Association.
