IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-18
Resolution to approve purchase of 2006 GMC Canyon pickup
And
Trade-in of 2002 Ford F-150 with Stephen Motors
WHEREAS, the P.W. Director presently drive a 2002 Ford F-150 4WD pickup with approximately 120,000 miles and pretty substantial body rust, and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director primarily needs transportation to and from locations within the City for various tasks, his vehicle not being used for day-to-day hauling as much as other trucks in the fleet making the smaller more fuel efficient truck a good fit, and
WHEREAS, the P.W. Director recommends that the City proceed with the purchase of the used 2006 GMC Canyon with the trade in of his 2002 Ford 150 pickup.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the purchase of the 2006 GMC Canyon pickup in the amount of $9,000, with the trade-in of an existing 2002 Ford F-150.
