RESOLUTION #13-22
Resolution to approve Proposed Joint “Amber Road” project between
Jones County and the City of Monticello.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City has been approached by Jones County, through the Jones County Engineer, with a request that the City share in the costs related to the resurfacing and related improvements to portions of the Amber Road, by covering costs related to the portion of Amber Road lying in the City limits, east of the Amber Road Bridge, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the proposed repairs to Amber Road within the City limits are a priority to the City Council, and residents of the City of Monticello, and the City should, therefore, agree to the proposed project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 18th day of February, 2013, that the City Administrator is directed to notify the County Engineer that the City will agree to share in the Amber Road project as proposed by the County.
