IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-30
Resolution to approve purchase of 2002 Chevy Silverado pickup for Cemetery
WHEREAS, the Cemetery Sexton vehicle is in very rough condition, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has budgeted $9,000 towards the purchase of a replacement vehicle for the sexton, with the understanding that other public works departments will pay and difference between the purchase price of a replacement vehicle and $9,000, and
WHEREAS, Stephen’s Motors has a 2002 Chevy Silverado with approx. 60,000 miles in stock, with a purchase price of $11,000, that would be a good replacement vehicle for the Cemetery and would fit well with the Cemetery and P.W. budgets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the purchase of the 2002 Chevy Silverado 4WD ½ ton pickup from Stephen’s Motors in the amount of $11,000.
