IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-41
Approving “Collection of Recyclables Agreement” by and between City of Monticello and Roling Sanitation.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello has contracted with Roling Sanitation since approximately June, 2010, Roling being a successor to Bacon Recycling with whom the City contracted since about 1999, for purposes of curbside recycling pick-up within the City of Monticello according to the terms and provisions of a written agreement, and
WHEREAS, The agreement between the City of Monticello and Roling Sanitation will expire at the end of May, 2013, and Roling is desirous of continuing their relationship with the City, and
WHEREAS, a newly amended, updated, and modified agreement has been drafted by the City Administrator in consultation with Roling Sanitation, and Roling finds the changes proposed to be agreeable, and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds that the approval of the proposed agreement, and the continuation of a relationship with Roling Sanitation, to be in the best interests of the City and that the proposed Agreement should therefore be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the “Collection of Recyclables Agreement” by and between the City of Monticello and Roling Sanitation, for a period of five (5) years, to commence on the first day of June, 2013 and continuing through the 31st day of May 2018, unless earlier terminated by either party as permitted by the agreement, a copy of said final agreement to be appended to this resolution and incorporated herein as part of this Resolution as if the same had been set forth fully verbatim herein.
