THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-46
Approving Civil Citation Compendium.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City Council previously approved of the institution of a Civil Citation process by the Monticello Police Department, whereby the officers of the Department would have discretion to issue Civil Citations in lieu of traffic citations or other minor criminal citations, and
WHEREAS, The project has been on hold pending the installation of necessary computers and software to track the issuance of said citations, and
WHEREAS, The project also requires the approval of a compendium that establishes the citation amounts to be applied to the various violations, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator has reviewed the Compendium with the Police Chief and has recommended to the City Council that it be approved, and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds that the Compendium should be approved as recommended.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 20th day of May 2013, finds that the Compendium of Penalties to be applied to Monticello Civil Citations as presented by the Chief of Police should be, and is hereby approved.
