IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #13-53
Resolution to approve pay increase for Police Chief Britt Smith.
WHEREAS, the Employment Agreement of Police Chief Britt Smith provides that his salary shall be determined by agreement of the employee and employer, commencing July 1, 2013, and
WHEREAS, the Police Chief is currently paid $57,000 per year and works, on average, fifty (50) hours per week, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator has informed the Council that the Chief meets and/or exceeds the expectations and/or desires of the City Administrator in performing his duties, and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that a FY ’14 pay increase, to commence with the first payroll including July 1, 2013, in the amount of 2.5% is appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the pay increase in the amount of 2.5% for FY ’14 for Police Chief Britt Smith, same to take effect with the first pay period including July 1, 2013.
