IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-59
Approving Eastern Iowa Excavating Pay Request #1 in the amount of $54,247.96
related to the 2013-2014 City of Monticello Street Repair projects.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated city within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, Eastern Iowa Excavating contracted with the City to perform various street repairs and other improvements, most of the projects being generally referred to as the 2013-2014 Street Repair Projects, with additional work related to the 6th Street Ditch/Canal and Hwy. 38 Crosswalk also being performed, and
WHEREAS, Eastern Iowa has completed the work to the satisfaction of the City of Monticello Public Works Director and has requested payment for said work in the amount of $57,103.12, less 5% retainage, or $54,247.96, and
WHEREAS, The repairs / projects will be paid for from various City funds and the IDOT will reimburse the City for the “Hwy. 38 Crosswalk” project, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the pay request is appropriate and representative of the work completed and should, therefore, be approved.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve Pay Request #1 in the amount of $54,247.96.
IN THE TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name and caused the Great Seal for the City of Monticello, Iowa to be affixed. Done this 19th day of May 2014.
