IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-74
Resolution Accepting bid and awarding bid to Lansing Brothers Construction, subject to the receipt of a performance bond and execution of a project agreement by and between Lansing Brothers Construction and the City of Monticello.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello pursued bids related to the demolition of two City owned buildings, one located at 117 E. Grand Street and one located at 114 E. 1st Street, Monticello, IA, and
WHEREAS, The City received one bid, from Lansing Brothers Construction, in the amount of $48,150, with an additional 3% if the City required a Performance and Payment Bond, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the bid should be accepted and the project awarded to Lansing Brothers Construction with the requirement that a performance and payment bond be provided and a written contract/agreement be entered by and between the City of Monticello and Lansing Brothers Construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby accept the bid and does hereby award the project to Lansing Brothers Construction in the amount of $49,594.50, same covering the demolition as described within the scope of work and the purchase and delivery of a performance and payment bond to the City of Monticello and further subject to the entry into a written agreement by and between the contractor and the City of Monticello, same to set out the terms of the agreement between the City and the Contractor with regard to said project.
