IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #15-12
Resolution to award bid on Community Building Asbestos Abatement
project to Environmental Management Services of Iowa.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello pursued bids related to the abatement of asbestos containing materials within the Monticello Community Building in anticipation of a Community Building renovation, and
WHEREAS, The City received a number of bids and has found that the low bid, received from Environmental Management Services of Iowa, in the amount of $13,900, is acceptable, and that Environmental Management Services of Iowa’s bid is responsive and that they are in fact a responsible bidder, the City having past experience with said contractor, and
WHEREAS, The City’s architect, Ament Design, has recommended that the City accept the bids and award the project to Environmental Management Services of Iowa.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby accept the bids and does hereby award the Asbestos Abatement project to Environmental Management Services of Iowa, for the sum of $13,900, consistent with the recommendation of the project architect, and authorizes the City Administrator to execute all documents necessary to proceed with this project.
