IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #15-17
Preliminarily approving Plans and Specifications, Form of Contract, and Cost Estimate related to Community Building Renovation project and to setting Public Hearing on final approval of Plans and Specifications, Form of Contract, and Cost Estimate related to Community Building Renovation project for April 6, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the preliminary plans and specifications, form of contract, and engineer’s cost estimate related to the Community Building Renovation project, and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the documents as proposed are generally consistent with the Council’s plans and intentions with regard to the project, and further recognizes that during the pre-bid and bidding process, the proposed plans may be amended based upon contractor feedback, and
WHEREAS, the Council finds it appropriate to provide the preliminary approval of said documents, permitting the project to proceed to bid, with the final approval to follow a public hearing to be held on April 6, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., prior to the receipt and award of a contract related to same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Monticello Council meeting in regular session this 16th day of March, 2015 does hereby preliminarily approve the plans and specifications, form of contract, and engineer’s cost estimate related to the Monticello Community Building renovation project, authorizing the project to be put out to bid based upon said preliminary documents, and schedules a Public Hearing on the final plans and specifications, form of contract, notice to bidders, and engineer’s cost estimate for April 6, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Mary Lovell LeVan Renaissance Center, 220 E. 1st Street, Monticello, Iowa, after which the Council will consider the approval of final plans and specifications, form of contract, notice to bidders, and engineer’s cost estimate, and directs the City Administrator to see to the necessary publication of notices in regard hereto.
