RESOLUTION #15-29
Resolution to approve agreement between Snyder & Associates and City of Monticello in reference to the Business 151 and Hwy. 38 lane design project.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello participated in a DOT funded TEAP study that looked at the current lane design, among other things, on Business 151 between Oak Street and 1st Street, and between 1st Street and 3rd Street, some of that area doubling as State Highway 38, and
WHEREAS, The TEAP study recommended changes to the lane design, and
WHEREAS, To pursue a change in the lane design, the City must involve an engineer to design the proposed changes and to submit proposed plans to the DOT for consideration and approval, and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds it appropriate to pursue the changes recommended by the TEAP study and for that reason finds it appropriate to hire the City Engineer to file the appropriate paperwork and work with the IDOT to see this project forward.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 6th day of April, 2015 that the proposed “Standard Professional Services Agreement” between the City of Monticello and Snyder & Associates is hereby approved.
