The City of Monticello, Iowa
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #16-44
Approving Pay Request #10 submitted by G.L. Stockham & Son, Inc., in the
amount of $27562.50 related to the Community Building Renovation Project.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated City within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, G.L. Stockham & Son contracted with the City to perform specified improvements to the Monticello Community Building, and
WHEREAS, The City Architect overseeing this project, Al Varney with Ament Design has recommended that the eighth pay request be approved, while withholding the required 5% retainage, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator recommends that the pay request be approved, with $20,000 to be paid at this time, and with the remaining balance of $7,562.50 to be paid after the final punch list has been fully addressed to the satisfaction of the City Administrator, without prior approval of the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve Pay Request #10 submitted by G.L. Stockham & Son, Inc., in the certified amount of $27,562.50, with the Clerk’s Office being directed to pay $20,000 forth with, with the remaining balance of $7,562.50 to be paid upon the completion of the remaining punch list of items to the satisfaction of the City Administrator without additional approval of the City Council
