IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #16-60
Resolution Approving entry into agreement with
Alliant Energy to install underground service lines
as part of E. South Street project.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello desires to reduce the number of utility poles along City streets when possible, and
WHEREAS, The E. South Street reconstruction project provides the opportunity to perform such underground work without disturbing a finished, existing street, and
WHEREAS, An agreement between Alliant and the City of Monticello has been drafted, setting out the details related to the movement of service lines that presently cross the street, to a location under the street, and
WHEREAS, The City Council finds it appropriate to authorize the approval of said agreement, so that said improvements can be completed as part of the E. South Street project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the “Agreement for Utility Relocation” as presented, and does hereby authorize the Mayor to execute the same on the City’s behalf.
