RESOLUTION #16-63
Resolution to approve Payment to Jones County in the amount of $138,450.33
consistent with the previously approved agreement between the City and Jones County
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello City Council approved, by Resolution #14-05, the entry into a Project Agreement with Jones County associated with the Amber Road pavement project, and
WHEREAS, The County has presented adequate evidence that the project has been completed and that the sums spent on the City portion of said road met or exceeded the agreed upon maximum City investment, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the Clerk should be directed to make payment to Jones County in the amount of $138,450.33
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 2nd day of May, 2016, that the Clerk is hereby directed to make payment to Jones County in the amount of $138,450.33 in full payment of the City’s obligations as set forth within the previously approved agreement between the City and the County.
