IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #19-98
Resolution authorizing Fire Department to seek bids on new “Pumper Fire Truck”
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello Fire Department has been budgeting for and otherwise planning for the purchase of a new pumper fire truck, and
WHEREAS, in furtherance of their objective, the Fire Department .prepared specifications to bid and request bids, and
WHEREAS, once the truck is ordered, delivery is expected the be 1½ years before truck delivery, and
WHEREAS, the Council agrees to budget for the purchase of this pumper fire truck unit and that purchasing the pumper truck unit is in the best interest of the City and the Fire Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby authorize the City of Monticello Fire Chief, Don McCarthy, to request bids for a “Pumper Fire Truck” per specifications.
