IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #2022-56
Accepting bids Monticello Regional Airport for theConstruction of Connector and Apron Taxilane Extension Project, AIP 3-19-0061-12-2022 and awarding project to Boomerang, contingent upon FAA Funding Approval
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello sought bids for the construction of Connector
Taxiway Project and Apron Taxilane Extension, with Bid Alternate A being additional
Boomerang, and
WHEREAS, Two bids were received, as follows:
(Taxiway) (Concrete Work)
Bidder Bid Option 1 Bid Alternate A
- Boomerang $ 933,655.00 $ 103,470.00
- Tschiggfrie Excavating $1,216,529.00 $ 116,830.00
– and –
WHEREAS, The Council finds, in consideration of the recommendations of the Airport Board and the City Engineer, that the project should be awarded to Boomerang, the low bidder, and that the City should proceed with the Construction of Connector and Apron Taxilane Extension Project and not including Bid Alternate A at this time, and
WHEREAS, The Council also finds that the FAA must approve funding for this project after a review of the bids, and, therefore, that this award is contingent upon FAA approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby accept the bids related to the 2022 Construction of Connector and Apron Taxilane Extension Project, chooses to not proceed with Bid Alternate A, and awards the project to Boomerang, in the amount of $933,655.00, contingent upon FAA Funding Approval.
