RESOLUTION #2026-109
Approving Airport FBO hangar door replacement in the amount of $12,640
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated City within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, The Airport Manager requested repair of the Schweiss opener for the bifold door on hangar J at the Airport, and
WHEREAS, That type of opener is no longer produced nor serviceable, and
WHEREAS, Dan’s Overhead Door, the authorized Schweiss dealer, submitted a quote for $12,640 for replacement with an updated and much safer strap-style opener, including installation, and
WHEREAS, The Airport Board recommended approval of the quote at their regular meeting of July 7, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the quotation received from Dan’s Overhead Door should be accepted.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve the quote by Dan’s Overhead Door for replacement of the bifold door opener at Hangar J in the amount of $12,640.
