RESOLUTION #2026-45
Scheduling Public Hearing on the City of Monticello 2026/2027
Fiscal Year budget for April 20, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
WHEREAS, The Iowa Code requires that that the City of Monticello hold a Public Hearing on the proposed budget for the coming fiscal year, prior to the final approval of same, and
WHEREAS, The budget must be entered into the Department of Management website by no later than April 30, 2026, and
WHEREAS, Notice of the Public Hearing must be published at least four days before but no more than twenty days prior to the Public Hearing, and
WHEREAS, Notice shall be published in the Monticello Express on the 15th day of April, 2026, scheduling Public Hearing for the 20th day of April 2026 at 6:00 P.M. at the, City Council Chambers at the Mary Lovell LeVan Renaissance Center, Monticello, Iowa, and
WHEREAS, The City Clerk is instructed to see to the publication of the appropriate Notice in the Monticello Express, consistent with the above dates, so that the Public Hearing may be held as scheduled herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby schedule Public Hearing on the proposed 2026/2027 budget for the 20th day of April 2026 at 6:00 p.m. to be held in the City Council Chambers at the Mary Lovell LeVan Renaissance Center in Monticello, Iowa.
