THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #12-59
Resolution approving pay request #2 from Monk Construction in the
amount of $14,000 related to FBO rehabilitation project.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
WHEREAS, The City previously hired Monk Construction to perform pre-determined renovations to the City owned FBO Building at the Monticello Airport, and
WHEREAS, work by Monk Construction and its’ subcontractors has progressed to a point where Monk has submitted their 2nd pay request in the amount of $16,956.91, which follows the previously approved pay request in the amount of $35,296.80, and
WHEREAS, The City Administrator, the Mayor and City Council, and the Airport Manager have both visually inspected the facility and find that the work performed to date appears to be substantially consistent with the invoiced work, with a few corrective measures to be requested, and based thereon recommends that the 2nd pay request be paid in the amount of $14,000.00, with $2,956.91 to be retained until final project completion and acceptance.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Monticello, through its’ City Council, in session this 16th day of April, 2012, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to make payment to Monk Construction in the amount of $14,000.00 and to thereafter seek appropriate reimbursement from the State of Iowa through the Iowa DOT vertical infrastructure program.
