The City of Monticello, Iowa
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-16
Approving Hawkeye International Trucks Pay Request #1 related to
the Airport Truck / Equipment package purchased by the Airport as part of
a FAA authorized AIP project, in the amount of $137,750.
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello, Iowa is an incorporated city within Jones County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, Hawkeye International Trucks was the successful bidder on the City Airport Truck/Plow package and has provided said truck/equipment consistent with said bid, and
WHEREAS, Hawkeye has submitted an invoice in the amount of $150,093 representing the total amount due, and the City Engineer, Carl Byers, Snyder & Associates, has recommended that the invoice be paid less a 5% retainage, said retainage to be held until the City has resolved a short punch list of items with the supplier, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the pay request is appropriate, that the truck and equipment has been in our possession for a period of weeks and has been utilized, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that maintain a retainage until the punch list has been resolved is appropriate and in the best interests of the City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve payment of Hawkeye International Trucks 1st pay request in the amount of $137,750, recognizing that the City will be marinating a retainage in the amount of $7,250, to be paid upon satisfactory resolution of the engineer’s punch list.
