IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #14-39
Resolution to approve Agreement between City of Monticello and Snyder &
Associates Re: Highway 38 North Sanitary Sewer Extension.
WHEREAS, The City Council has entered into various Annexation Agreements which provide that the City will extend sanitary sewer service to the north along Highway 38, and
WHEREAS, That the extension of said main first requires a design by a licensed engineer, and the City Engineer, Snyder & Associates has provided a proposed Engineering Services agreement, and
WHEREAS, That the extension of the main will immediately serve two properties, the City Shop and the SGR Plumbing building (a/k/a Cooper property) and will be in a position to serve the Koob property and with the installation of some service line extensions, and potential force mains, the Machine Shop and other properties in that general area, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the planning for and eventual installation of the Sanitary Sewer Extension proposed herein meets the City’s obligations under the annexation agreements, is an environmentally sound decision, and is otherwise appropriate.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does
hereby approve the Engineering Services Agreement between the City of Monticello and
the City Engineer, Snyder & Associates, to design and see to the letting of the Hwy. 38
N. Sanitary Sewer Extension.
