IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #15-45
Resolution to approve purchase of 2006 Vactor 2110 Sewer Jet.
WHEREAS, the Monticello PW Department utilizes a sewer jet for various critical purposes, and
WHEREAS, The current sewer jet has begun to show its’ age and does not have the power often needed to operate in the manner desired by the department, and
WHEREAS, The proposed 2006 Vactor 2110 Sewer Jet, would be a significant upgrade from the existing sewer jet, and
WHEREAS, The Council finds that the trade in of the existing sewer jet with a cash payment of $129,500 is appropriate and in the best interests of the City PW Department and hereby finds that the purchase of same should be approved, and
WHEREAS, The Council recognizes that this purchase will not take place until approximately December, 2015 as the community from which this unit is coming (Boone, Iowa) is awaiting the delivery of a new sewer jet to replace the sewer jet being purchased by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve of the purchase of the 2006 Vactor 2110 Sewer Jet, with the trade-in of the current Monticello Sewer Jet, with a payment in the amount of $129,500.
