IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, IOWA
RESOLUTION #16-101
Approving Pay Request #1 in the amount of $70,494.79 and Change Order #1 in the amount of $13,134.69, submitted by B & J Hauling and Excavating related to the 2016 Grading & Apron Extension for Future 10-unit Hangar project.
WHEREAS, B & J Hauling and Excavating contracted with the City to perform specified improvements associated with the Airport Hangar grading and paving project, and
WHEREAS, B & J Hauling has submitted their 1st pay request in the amount of $74,205.04 less retainage in the amount of $3,710.25, resulting in a current request of $70,494.79, and Change Order #1 in the amount of $13,134.69, and
WHEREAS, The City Engineer has reviewed the Pay Request and Change Order, and recommends that same be approved, and
WHEREAS, The Monticello Airport Board has not yet had an opportunity to review this pay request or change order and that the Council should give them an opportunity to review and approve same, finding that the Board shall inform the City Administrator in writing of any objection to payment being made to the Contractor as noted herein by 12:00 p.m. on October 5, 2016, and absent such objection the payment as approved herein being deemed approved.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Monticello, Iowa does hereby approve Pay Request #1 submitted by B & J Hauling and Excavating in the amount of $74,205.04, less retainage in the amount of $3,710.25, and further approves Change Order #1 in the amount of $13,134.69, directing that payment be made to B & J Hauling and Excavating in the amount of $70,494.79 absent a formal objection from the Airport Board who will consider this request at their meeting of October 4, 2016.
